Call for alternative teaching
Last updated 5. March 2025 | Oeffentlichkeit
We are looking for your concepts for alternative teaching in the summer semester on the topic of “Remembering”. The deadline for submissions is 27.03.2020.
“Remembering” can be very personal, but it can also happen collectively. We remember people, experiences and the insights we have gained. We can share memories or jog our memory. There are some things we would rather not remember – forget instead – and some memories we are obliged to remember. We find this obligation to remember together in remembrance and in the consequence that certain events must never be repeated. Sometimes we have to rely on the memories of previous generations, for example in remembering the Shoah or in researching the history of our campus, on which we move every day. This semester, Alternative Teaching is part of the communal remembrance of the unforgettable, especially against the backdrop of the shift to the right in society. Memories must not rest. Climate change also calls for remembrance, so as not to forget which species are disappearing and to notice what is changing. However, the events also offer space for personal memories or, for example, the question of what a culture of remembrance actually is and how remembrance takes place in the body and brain. We want to know what and how you want to and can remember.
