CORACI goes online

As we can no longer meet in person due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a festival in the traditional sense cannot take place. We have decided to move this year’s festival to the digital realm because, despite the pandemic, the relevance of political struggles has not diminished but increased. For this reason, it is important to establish new forms of resistance, reflect on existing forms and possibly change them.
We want to think together with you about how we can organize ourselves and mobilize in solidarity against social injustice.
Exclusions in society based on origin, class, gender, religion or sexual orientation are often complicated, overlap or intersect and are difficult to grasp. It is therefore all the more important to understand them in their context. The intersectionality approach attempts to address precisely this.
Coraci 2020 is therefore dedicated to the question: “Fighting in solidarity. How does intersectional resistance work?”
To this end, we have asked various speakers, activists and activists, collectives and cultural practitioners to address the topic in different formats. All events will take place via the “zoom” online platform.
We cordially invite you to participate in lectures, workshops, films and theater performances to reflect on privilege, how we can fight in solidarity and what intersectional resistance means.
