Dear first-year students, dear other people,
we know how difficult the current situation is, how difficult it is to get to know people and how depressing it can be that there are hardly any events taking place.
That’s why we have joined forces with three of our departments to put together a series of events over the next few weeks in which you can participate online or independently of the specific corona situation.

The first event – a feminist PubQuiz by the Queer Department – will take place on Friday, November 6th at 7 pm. If you are interested in queer-feminist topics, want to organize educational policy events at the university or just want to get together in a nice group to spend a sociable evening, then the pub quiz, which will also be the QuARG get-together, is the right place for you. ?☀️

The second event – a lecture on racism in the police, organized by the AntiRa department – will take place at the beginning of December, on 3 December at 7 pm.
The topic:
Can the cases of racist police violence still be regarded as isolated incidents or is there a more networked problem behind them? Is there evidence of structural racism in the police force and what does this have to do with death in custody or racial profiling? We will talk about this together with various speakers on December 3 at 7 pm. We would also like to talk about incidents in Lüneburg and invite you to an open discussion at the end.

The third event in the series is organized by our cultural department LautLeben. This is a (vegan) scavenger hunt (lol). This will be planned in geocaching style and can then be called up and carried out individually. You will also find more detailed information on this here as soon as more concrete details are available.
