As the AStA of the University of Lüneburg, we are a member of the Niedersächsische LandesAStenKonferenz. By joining, we support and comply with the statutes of the state-wide body:

Preamble
The LandesAStenKonferenz Niedersachsen (LAK) sees itself as a democratic association of student bodies in Lower Saxony representing students in accordance with §20 (1) NHG and §41 HRG in all social and political matters. It sees itself as part of the constituted student body and is committed to its preservation. The LAK advocates the democratization of the university, genuine university autonomy and the dismantling of educational restrictions, in particular educational fees of any kind, i.e. the right to a say and qualification for all should be promoted instead of focusing on selection. The LAK believes that universities and academia have a central responsibility for the peaceful, social and democratic development of society. It is therefore a central task of the student bodies to promote such a development through their own activities. The LAK is committed to an emancipatory society that is free from discrimination, racism, anti-Semitism, sexism and homophobia. Furthermore, the LAK demands the rights of students from higher education policy organizations and society and is committed to continuously improving the quality of teaching and research as well as study conditions at universities. To enforce these demands, the LAK works together with other social and higher education policy organizations and institutions.
