The constituted student body is looking for an advisory member of the mobility committee of the Hanseatic City of Lüneburg
What are the tasks of the Mobility Committee?
- The committee is one of 20 specialist committees of Lüneburg City Council
- It prepares resolutions on the topic of transport
What are the tasks of the advisory member?
- You take part in the public meetings of the Mobility Committee (approx. six times a year)
- Participation in city and district advisory boards on transport policy issues (e.g. NUMP advisory board and passenger advisory board)
- You stand up for student interests and sustainable transport policy
- Networking with other important players in local transport policy and the AStA
- Informing the student body about transport issues, e.g. via motions in the student parliament, press statements or surveys
- Time required: approx. 15 h per month
What should you bring with you?
- Interest in transport policy issues
- Initiative and commitment
- Experience in representing interests & working in political contexts desirable
- Interest in taking on the electoral office, possibly for the longer term
- Very good knowledge of German
