The alliance SOS Studiwerke draws attention to the underfunding of student services. [sic!] attentive. The Studiwerke in Lower Saxony are partly financed by the state and partly by your student fees. As the state subsidizes the Studiwerke less and less, your semester fee is increasing so that services such as the canteen, halls of residence, psychological counselling and the cultural office can be financed. With our stand today in the canteen , we want to draw attention to the underfunding by the state, show solidarity and make it clear that an additional financial burden on students is out of the question .

Of course, the problem doesn’t just affect us in Lüneburg, but also students at all other university campuses. So if you are reading this article, even though you are not studying at the University of Lüneburg, take a look around your campus, sign the petition there or make your student body aware of the day of action.

Sign the petition in the canteen and join us in demanding, among other things, an immediate increase in the state subsidy for the Studierendenwerke by 25% and an automatic, annual increase of 3% and the associated relief for us students through a significant reduction in contributions and a return to fair funding for the Studierendenwerke.
