The meetings of the Student Parliament usually take place every two weeks (every four weeks during the semester break) on Wednesdays at 16:00 in room C9.102. If you submit a request, the StuPa chair will send you an official invitation with the exact dates. If you would like to receive the current invitation with the agenda, please write to the chair to be added to the email distribution list. The meetings are open to the university, all students have the right to speak and can contribute accordingly. Guests may also be granted the right to put forward motions.

Session procedure

The provisional agenda is drawn up by the chair and sent out together with the invitation to the meeting. The agenda is based on agenda items that follow a sequence but may vary depending on the agenda items and those present. As a rule, the sequence is as follows:

• Welcome and regularities
• Reorganization of the agenda
• Approval of minutes
• Messages and inquiries
• Current hour
• Miscellaneous

The final agenda is voted on at the beginning of the meeting.

How does a StuPa election work?

The student body regularly looks for students to take on elective positions. The advertisements are published at least two weeks before the election and applications are possible up to the time of the election. In principle, the Chair sends out the invitation including the agenda and proposals as well as applications every Wednesday and Friday before the meeting, which is why an application 5-7 days before the election is desirable, but not necessary.

Election procedure: As a rule, candidates are asked to come forward and briefly introduce themselves. There is then an opportunity for questions and then the election takes place.
