Tüdelü guten Morgen allerseits, 
naja fast. Heute morgen wurde dieser Newsletter angefangen. Frühlingsgefühle und Sonne haben aber schön von der Lohnarbeit abgelenkt. Nun ist’s dunkel draußen und die Einleitung immer noch nicht geschrieben und die Weisheit des Tages: „Verschiebe nicht auf morgen, was du heute kannst besorgen.“ Macht draus was ihr wollt.  

Wichtige Hinweise zur Veranstaltungsanmeldung im SoSe 25 ⚠️
Die Frist fürs Anmelden zu Lehrveranstaltungen ist DIESEN SONNTAG, 06.04., 23:59 Uhr. Wenn Studierende innerhalb der ersten beiden Vorlesungswochen in der Lehrveranstaltung abwesend sind, wird der Platz für nachrückende Studierende freigegeben. Möchten Studierende trotz Abwesenheit ihren Platz behalten, müssen sie die Lehrperson informieren (per E-Mail unter Verwendung der universitären E-Mail-Adresse ohne Angabe von Gründen). 

AStA Frühlingsflohmarkt // 27.04. 🌞
Am 27.04. findet in und bei gutem Wetter vor Gebäude 9 von 13-16 Uhr unser AStA Frühlingsflohmarkt statt- juhuu! Nutzt die Chance zu verkaufen und zu kaufen – ob gebrauchte Kleidung, Krempel oder Kreatives. Besonders freuen wir uns dieses Mal auch über Kunst, Pflanzen, Schmuck oder Stände mit anderem Krimskrams. Du möchtest etwas verkaufen? Dann fülle dieses Formular aus und melde dich an. Vakuum ‘Intermezzo’ im Salon Hansen // 12.04. 💿
Der Semesterstart rückt mit unaufhaltsamer Geschwindigkeit näher. Doch bevor uns der Alltag wieder komplett in seinen Bann zieht, veranstaltet unser Kulturreferat Vakuum nächste Woche Samstag ein mini-Festival mit Konzerten & DJ-Sets im Salon Hansen. Demonstration gegen die Bezahlkarte in Lüneburg // 12.04. ⛔
Im April wird in Lüneburg die Bezahlkarte endgültig eingeführt, wir erleben wieder einmal massive Asylrechtsverschärfungen auf EU Ebene und die CDU Regierung wird das Recht auf Migration nur noch weiter einschränken. Wir, die Seebrücke Lüneburg und die Initiative ‘Lüneburg sagt Nein zur Bezahlkarte’ möchten das als Anlass nehmen, um auf der Straße lautstark unsere Solidarität mit von Rassismus und rechter Politik betroffenen Menschen zu zeigen und unser solidarisches Netzwerk zu stärken. Wir sagen NEIN zur Bezahlkarte, NEIN zu rechter Politik und JA zu Solidarität! Deswegen planen wir eine Demo für den 12.4. mit anschließenden Ständen im Clamartpark. Wohnzimmerquiz im mosaique – Kooperation mit Viva con Agua // 05.04. 💧
Kurz vor Semesterstart wird es am 05.04. um 19:30 Uhr wieder lehrreich und lustig: Das Wohnzimmer-Quiz im mosaique in Kooperation mit Viva con Agua kommt zurück! Dabei wird in Teams fleißig gerätselt, geraten und gelacht. Von klassischen Fragen über Schätzfragen bis hin zu Rätselfragen aus vielen verschiedenen Themenbereichen – so kann jede*r mal mit seinem*ihrem Wissen punkten. Schnapp dir also deine liebsten Quizfreund*innen und sei dabei! Spaß und hitzige Diskussionen im Team sind vorprogrammiert. Die Teams werden vor Ort gebildet, also kommt einfach vorbei und findet vielleicht dort noch ein passendes Team für euch. Die Veranstaltung findet auf Spendenbasis statt. Die Einnahmen gehen dabei sowohl an wohltätige Projekte von Viva con Agua als auch an das Mosaique. Wir freuen uns auf euch und euer Wissen!

In der Eingangshalle der Volkshochschule Lüneburg findet jeden ersten Sonntag im Monat das Repaircafé statt. Im Zeitraum von 15-19 Uhr sind fachkundige liebe Menschen vor Ort, und helfen bei allem, was repariert werden soll. Mit vorhandenem Werkzeug könnt Ihr unter Anleitung die Reparaturen auch gern selbst durchführen. Bitte bring alles nötige Zubehör wie Kabel, Batterien/Akkus, Antenne usw. zum Termin mit. Vortrag: Parklets als Chance für eine nachhaltige Stadtentwicklung // 07.04. 🅿️
Wie können Parklets dazu beitragen, Städte lebenswerter und nachhaltiger zu gestalten? In unserem Vortrag möchten wir am Beispiel des Stadtteils Neu Hagen aufzeigen, welche Potenziale solche Konstrukte für die Aufenthaltsqualität, den öffentlichen Raum und das Stadtklima bieten und welche Herausforderungen bei ihrer Umsetzung entstehen können. Wir berichten dabei von unserem Parklet-Bauworkshop, den wir im Januar mit Unterstützung des StuPa und des Studierendenwerks in Neu Hagen durchgeführt haben. Prof. Dr. Peter Pez vom Institut für Stadt- und Kulturraumforschung der Leuphana wird uns zudem seine fachliche Einschätzung zur nachhaltigen Quartiersentwicklung in in Neu Hagen geben.Wir freuen uns auf euch!

urli Film: Wie wir wollen // 09.04. 🎞️
Das neue Semester ist da und urli ist back mit einer Soli-Veranstaltung!
Wir zeigen die Dokumentation „WIE WIR WOLLEN“ von dem Filmkollektiv KINOKAS aus dem Jahr 2021. „WIE WIR WOLLEN macht eine Bestandsaufnahme der systemischen Hürden beim Zugang zur Abtreibung in der heutigen BRD durch eine Mischung aus persönlichen Erfahrungsberichten, dokufiktionalen Szenen und themenspezifischen Interviews. Dabei stellt der Film übergeordnete Fragen rund um Bevölkerungspolitik und körperliche Selbstbestimmung: Welche Eltern, welche Kinder und welche Familien sind erwünscht und warum?

LIAS Film: ”Of Fathers and Sons“ mit Talal Derki  // 09.04. 🎥
Kommende Woche Mittwoch (09.04.) wird der LIAS Public Fellow Talal Derki seinen Dokumentarfilm “Of Fathers and Sons – Die Kinder des Kalifats” in der Director’s Cut Version persönlich im Scala vorstellen. Dabei wird er auch berichten, wie er zwei Jahre lang in seinem Heimatland Syrien den Alltag einer radikal-islamistischen Familie begleitet hat. Im Fokus des Films stehen Osama (13) und Ayman (12), die Kinder der Familie. Sie lieben und gehorchen ihrem Vater, der von der Errichtung des Kalifats träumt. Ihr Weg ist somit vorgezeichnet: sie sollen in den Dschihad ziehen. Der Film ist mehrfach ausgezeichnet, unter anderem war er für den Oscar 2019 nominiert und erhielt den Deutschen Filmpreis 2019.

Silent Places Benefiztour-Abschluss // 12.04. 🤍
Am 12. April findet im Commons Zentrum das Abschlussevent der Silent Places Benefiztour statt. Es wird Live-Musik Musik von Kantom, Kerbe, SpyNElly, BARAS & S.A.M sowie DJ-Sets von Infrasonic sowie Bass&Blech geben. Außerdem Kunst, Workshops, Drinks vom Guten Morgen Shop und eine Soli Küche. Es werden Spenden für Menschen in Palästina & Gaza gesammelt, der Eintritt ist gegen Spende & offen für alle. Anschließend findet eine Aftershow-Party im Mancini statt. Organisiert wird das Event von BARAS und dem mamagei kollektiv.

Szenische Lesung: Spurensuche – 6 Tage im April 1945 // 12.04. 🕊️
„Das Vergangene ist nicht tot, es ist nicht einmal vergangen.” Mittels einer szenischen Lesung wird an das Kriegsverbrechen in der Zeit vom 7. bis 12. April 1945 in Lüneburg erinnert. Überlebende und weitere Zeug*innen kommen zu Wort und die Geschichte einiger Opfer, die Widerstand gegen die Nazibesatzung leisteten, wird erzählt. Die Lesung wird musikalisch und von Bildern und Geräuschen umrahmt.

Sonntagsgeschichte im Museum Lüneburg: Auf den Spuren der Kolonialgeschichte // 06.04. 🌠
Im späten 19. Jahrhundert gelangten zahlreiche ethnografische Objekte in die Lüneburger  Museen, darunter Speere, Schilde, Pfeile, Tonfiguren, Keramik und Haushaltsgegenstände. Viele dieser Stücke stammten aus den damaligen Kolonien Europas und Amerikas. Die formelle oder informelle Kolonialherrschaft benachteiligte dort in der Regel die lokale Bevölkerung. Oft wurden die begehrten Objekte unter fragwürdigen Bedingungen erworben, sei es durch Druck, ungleiche Machtverhältnisse oder direkte Gewalt. Das Museum Lüneburg möchte in den kommenden Jahren seine Bestände aus „kolonialen Kontexten“ und ihre Herkunft systematisch erforschen. Dabei geht es unter anderem darum, mögliche unrechtmäßige Aneignungen aufzudecken, die Objekte der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen und einen Beitrag zur Aufarbeitung der Lüneburger Kolonialgeschichte zu leisten.

Tandem Lesung: Simoné Goldschmidt-Lechner und Sarah Claire Wray // 08.04. 📖
Simoné Goldschmidt-Lechner (SGL), die aktuelle Heinrich-Heine-Stipendiatin, wuchs in Südafrika und Deutschland auf. Sie schreibt, übersetzt, macht Podcasts, beschäftigt sich mit (queeren) Fankulturen im Netz, Horror aus postmigrantischer Perspektive, Sprache in Videospielen und sprachlich Experimentellem. 2022 erschien ihr Debütroman „Messer, Zungen“. Darin stellt sie die Frage nach Herkunft und Heimat. 2025 folgte ihr populäres Sachbuch „NERD GIRL MAGIC“. Sarah Claire Wray, geboren 1993 in Köln, studierte Regie an der Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch. Sie arbeitet als freie Autorin und Regisseurin. 2021 erschien ihr Gedichtband „sieben utopische dinge“. Sie gehörte zum Drehbuchteam der ARD/Degeto-Serie „Schwarze Früchte“ und arbeitet zurzeit an Prosatexten. Mehr Infos hier.

Lesung: „Die Ballade vom vakuumverpackten Hähnchen“, Lucie Rico // 10.04. 🌱
Schon seit ihrer Jugend ist Hannah Vegetarierin. Sie lebt in der Stadt und hat nur noch wenige Verbindungen zum dörflichen Leben ihrer Kindheit. Als jedoch ihre Mutter stirbt, kehrt sie auf deren Hühnerhof zurück – vorübergehend, denkt sie, bis alles geregelt ist. Doch das Landleben in seiner Schönheit und seinem Schrecken nimmt sie in Beschlag, und schon bald entwickelt Hannah ein ganz besonderes Verhältnis zu den Tieren: Sie schlachtet und vakuumiert sie, verabschiedet aber jedes Hähnchen mit einer eigenen Biografie, die der Verpackung beiliegt. Aus dieser Geste der Wertschätzung entsteht ein Marketingprojekt, das irrwitzige Ausmaße annimmt: »Hannahs Hähnchen« werden zum Supermarkthit mit unerwarteten Folgen für Leib und Leben von Mensch und Tier. well almost. This newsletter was started this morning. The spring fever and sunshine have been a nice distraction from work tho. Now it’s dark outside, the introduction still hasn’t been written and the wisdom of the day is: “Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” Take it as you want.

Important information on course registration in summer semester 25 ⚠️
The deadline for registering for courses is THIS SUNDAY, 06.04., 23:59. If students are absent from a course within the first two weeks of lectures, their place will be made available for subsequent students. If students wish to keep their place despite being absent, they must inform the lecturer (by e-mail using the university e-mail address without giving reasons).

AStA Spring flea-market // 27.04. 🌞
On Sunday, April 27th, our spring flea market will take place from 1 – 4 pm in front of Building 9 – yay! Take the chance to sell and buy – used clothes, stuff or creative things. Demonstration against the payment cards in Lüneburg // 12.04. ⛔
In April, the payment card will be finally introduced in Lüneburg, we are once again experiencing massive tightening of asylum laws at EU level and the CDU government will only further restrict the right to migration. We, the Seebrücke Lüneburg and the Initiative ‘Lüneburg sagt Nein zur Bezahlkarte’ would like to take this as an opportunity to loudly show our solidarity with people affected by racism and right-wing politics on the streets and to strengthen our solidarity network. We say NO to the payment card, NO to right-wing politics and YES to solidarity! That’s why we are planning a demo on April 12 with subsequent stands in Clamartpark. Shortly before the start of the semester, it will be educational and fun again on 05.04. at 19:30: The living room quiz at mosaique in cooperation with Viva con Agua is back! Teams will be busy puzzling, guessing and laughing. From classic questions to guessing questions and riddles from many different subject areas – everyone can score points with their knowledge. So grab your favorite quiz friends and join in! Fun and heated team discussions are guaranteed. The teams will be formed on site, so just come along and maybe you’ll find a suitable team for you. The event takes place on a donation basis. The proceeds will go to charitable projects of Viva con Agua as well as to the Mosaique. We look forward to you and your knowledge!

The Repair Café takes place every first Sunday of the month in the entrance hall of the Lüneburg Adult Education Center (Volkshochschule Lüneburg). Lecture: Parklets as an opportunity for sustainable urban development // 07.04. 🅿️ [in German]
How can parklets contribute to making cities more liveable and sustainable? In our presentation, we use the example of the Neu-Hagen neighbourhood to show the potential that such constructions offer for the quality of stay, public space and the urban climate and the challenges that can arise during their implementation. We will report on our Parklet construction workshop, which we organised in Neu-Hagen in January. Prof. Dr Peter Pez from the Institute for Urban and Cultural Research at Leuphana will also give us his expert opinion on sustainable neighbourhood development in Heu-Hagen. The new semester is here and urli is back with a solidarity event!
We are showing the documentary “WIE WIR WOLLEN” by the film collective KINOKAS from 2021. “WIE WIR WOLLEN” takes stock of the systemic obstacles to access to abortion in Germany today through a mixture of personal testimonies, documentary scenes and topic-specific interviews. The film poses overarching questions about population policy and bodily self-determination: Which parents, which children and which families are wanted and why?

LIAS film: “Of fathers and sons” with Talal Derki // 09.04. 🎥
Next week, the LIAS Public Fellow Talal Derki will personally present his documentary ‘Of Fathers and Sons – The Children of the Caliphate’ in the director’s cut version in the Scala cinema. He will also report on how he spent two years in his home country of Syria documenting the everyday life of a radical Islamist family. The film focuses on the family’s children, Osama (13) and Ayman (12). They love and obey their father, who dreams of establishing the caliphate. Their path is thus predetermined: they are destined to go to jihad. The film has won several awards, including a nomination for an Oscar in 2019 and the German Film Award in 2019.

Scenic reading: Searching for traces – 6 days in April 1945 // 12.04. 🕊️ [in German]
“The past is not dead, it is not even past.” A staged reading commemorates the war crimes committed in Lüneburg between April 7 and 12, 1945. Survivors and other witnesses will have their voices heard and the story of some of the victims who resisted the Nazi occupation will be told. The reading will be accompanied by music, images and sounds.

Sunday History at Museum Lüneburg: On the trail of colonial history // 06.04. 🌠 [in German]
In the late 19th century, numerous ethnographic objects found their way into Lüneburg’s museums, including spears, shields, arrows, clay figurines, ceramics and household items. Many of these pieces came from the European and American colonies of the time. Formal or informal colonial rule there generally disadvantaged the local population. The coveted objects were often acquired under questionable conditions, be it through pressure, unequal power relations or direct violence. In the coming years, the Museum Lüneburg would like to systematically research its holdings from “colonial contexts” and their origins. Among other things, the aim is to uncover possible unlawful appropriations, make the objects accessible to the public and make a contribution to the reappraisal of Lüneburg’s colonial history.

Sarah Claire Wray, born in Cologne in 1993, studied directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts. She works as a freelance writer and director. Her poetry collection “sieben utopische dinge” was published in 2021. She was part of the script team for the ARD/Degeto series “Schwarze Früchte” and is currently working on prose texts. Hannah has been a vegetarian since she was a teenager. She lives in the city and has few connections to the village life of her childhood. However, when her mother dies, she returns to her mother’s chicken farm – temporarily, she thinks, until everything is sorted out. But country life, in all its beauty and horror, takes hold of her, and Hannah soon develops a very special relationship with the animals: She slaughters and vacuum packs them, but says goodbye to each chicken with its own biography enclosed in the packaging. This gesture of appreciation gives rise to a marketing project that takes on crazy proportions: “Hannah’s Chickens” become a supermarket hit with unexpected consequences for the life and limb of humans and animals.
