Aufgepasst! Die Frist für die Bewerbung zur Autonomen Lehre läuft am kommenden Sonntag, 03.02., ab. Wenn du im Sommersemester mit deinen Inhalten in der AL mitmachen möchtest, reiche dein Lehrkonzept also noch schnell über das Formular diesem Link ein. Dort findest du auch die Ausschreibung und viele weitere Informationen. Die Autonome Lehre bietet einen Rahmen, in dem interessengeleitete (Selbst-)Bildung stattfinden kann – ganz ohne Notendruck oder Sonstiges. Außerdem ist es ein guter Ort, um randständige Themen, also solche, die in der regulären Lehre keinen Platz haben oder zu kurz kommen, zu behandeln. Bewirb dich jetzt!

Engagement gegen Rechts: Teamer*in in der antidiskriminierenden Jugendbildungsarbeit werden 🎈
Teamer*innen gesucht! Mit Projekttagen an Schulen und in Jugendzentren wollen wir, die Gewerkschaftliche Hochschulgruppe, junge Menschen dafür interessieren, sich mit Rechtsextremismus, Rassismus, Sexismus und anderen diskriminierenden Formen von Gewalt auseinanderzusetzen, zum Mit-, Nach- und Umdenken anregen und Mut machen, nicht wegzusehen, wenn andere diskriminierend denken, reden und handeln.
Für das nächste Seminar, das auf das Anleiten von diesen Projekttagen vorbereitet, gibt es noch freie Plätze. Für mehr Infos und zum Anmelden hier klicken.
Die Teilnahme ist nach kurzer Rücksprache mit auch ohne Grundlagenschulung des DGB möglich. Für alle Teilnehmenden ist das Programm kostenlos, Unterkunft und Verpflegung werden gestellt.

Bachelor-Ausstellung Nr. 5 – Strukturen // 01.-02.03. 🧊
Die Ausstellung erforscht das Spannungsfeld zwischen natürlichen und gesellschaftlichen Strukturen im Wandel. Während Carla Peters den Transformationsprozess von Eis in den Blick nimmt und dies in ihren Aquarellen umsetzt, befasst sich Lisa Frank mit gesellschaftlichen Ordnungen, die sie durch Schichtung, Zerschneidung und Umformung von Karton und Verpackungsmaterialien sichtbar macht und herausfordert. Beide Positionen vereint die Frage nach dem Bruch: Wann wird eine Struktur bewahrt, wann löst sie sich auf – und was entsteht daraus?

Bautag im Commons Zentrum Lüneburg // 02.03. 🔨
Das letzte Bauwochenende war so schön und produktiv, dass wir direkt Lust hatten weiter zu machen. Am Bautag wollen wir die Büro und Plenumsräume einrichten, Küche und Regale aufbauen, die Beleuchtung verbessern, etwas im Garten machen, Leihräder herrichten, Schilder malen und noch vieles mehr. In der Eingangshalle der Volkshochschule Lüneburg findet jeden ersten Sonntag im Monat das Repaircafé statt. Im Zeitraum von 15-19 Uhr sind fachkundige liebe Menschen vor Ort, und helfen bei allem, was repariert werden soll. Mit vorhandenem Werkzeug könnt Ihr unter Anleitung die Reparaturen auch gern selbst durchführen. Bitte bring alles nötige Zubehör wie Kabel, Batterien/Akkus, Antenne usw. zum Termin mit. Die Hansestadt Lüneburg lädt herzlich zur NUMP-Abschlussveranstaltung am Mittwoch, den 05.03. von 17 Uhr bis ca. 20 Uhr ein! Dich erwarten Informationen über den Verlauf des NUMP und zum Abschlussbericht, die Möglichkeit, an verschiedenen Ständen direkt mit dem Gutachterteam und Vertreter:innen der Hansestadt in Kontakt zu treten und Feedback zum Prozess sowie zum weiteren Vorgehen zu geben und eine Podiumsdiskussion zur Umsetzung des NUMP und zur Zukunft der Mobilität in Hansestadt und Landkreis Lüneburg. Chaotisches Catalysator Stipendium // 05. & 06.03. 👾
Mit dem Chaotischen Catalysator Stipendien-Programm können sich Studierende, die eine Master oder Diplomarbeit schreiben, um ein Stipendium in Höhe von insgesamt 1.500 € bewerben. Gesucht werden Themen, die sich mit den Informationstechnologien dieser Welt und ihren Auswirkungen auf die Gesellschaft beschäftigen. Es gibt keine Einschränkungen in Bezug auf die Fachrichtung. Infotreffen finden kommenden Mittwoch & am 17. April, je 19-20 Uhr, statt. Den Link dazu sowie alle Informationen und Bewerbungsmöglichkeiten findest du hier. Sister Outsider: Feministisch-antirassistische Stimmen zum Internationalen Frauentag // 08.03. 🖊️
Laut Audre Lorde sind es nicht unsere Unterschiede, die uns lähmen, sondern Schweigen.
Aus intersektionaler Perspektive lesen und diskutieren wir Texte afrodiasporischer Autor*innen, die Verbindungen im Kampf gegen rassistische und patriarchale Strukturen ziehen. Ausgehend von der gemeinsamen Lektüre entwerfen wir Slogans und Plakate, mit denen wir uns der feministisch-antirassistischen Kundgebung anschließen. Texte und Material werden zur Verfügung gestellt. Theater: Deus Rising – Vom unaufhaltsamen Aufstieg der Menschheit // 01.03. 💥
Wo stehen wir und wo geht die Reise der Menschheit hin? Dieses Stück zwischen Philosophie und Satire, zwischen Witz und Melancholie führt bis an den Rand des Universums. Technologischer und wissenschaftlicher Fortschritt veranlassen zwei Abgesandte der menschlichen Spezies, die Aufnahme im Rat der Götter zu beantragen. Denn die Menschen behaupten von sich, sie hätten sich weiterentwickelt, wären nun auch göttlich. Die göttlichen Mitglieder des Rates sind von dieser Idee wenig begeistert, und es beginnt ein Prozess, bei dem die Zeit aus den Fugen gerät. Eine ästhetisch-sinnliche Reise durch Licht und Schatten, Raum und Zeit, Figurenspiel und Animation, die den technischen Fortschritt und die damit einhergehende „Entzauberung der Welt“ kritisch, aber auch zauberhaft, beleuchtet.

Museum Lüneburg: Historische Handwerkstechniken im Möbelbau // 02.03. 🪚
Das Museum Lüneburg lädt am Sonntag zu einer besonderen Führung ein. Restaurator und Tischler Andreas Bartels wird die Besucherinnen und Besucher auf eine faszinierende Reise zu prächtigen historischen Möbelstücken im Museum Lüneburg mitnehmen. Der etwa einstündige Rundgang legt den Schwerpunkt auf die historischen Herstellungstechniken der ausgestellten Möbel und Holzobjekte. Treffpunkt ist um 15 Uhr im Foyer des Museums. Die Teilnahme ist im Museumseintritt inbegriffen.

JazzIG Doppelkonzert: Lajos Meinberg Trio & Johann Greve Quartett // 08.03. 🎷
Lajos Meinberg ist mehrfacher Jugend Jazz-Preisträger in Combo- und Solo-Wertung. Er gewann außerdem den 2. Preis beim Carl Bechstein Wettbewerb 2018 in der Kategorie Jazz-Klavier. Darüber hinaus erhielt er den Ingolf Burkhardt-Award 2022 und im August 2023 war Lajos Teil der Elbphilharmonie Jazz Academy. Das Johann Greve Quartett wurde Anfang 2023 gegründet. Mittlerweile ist die Band zu einer starken Einheit zusammengewachsen. Johann Greves Kompositionen sind gleichermaßen durch die moderne Berliner Musikszene, so wie auch Jazzgrößen wie Coltrane etc. beeinflusst und geprägt. Die Stücke dienen in erster Linie als ein Fundament für Improvisation – mit dem Ziel, immer eine starke Energie auf der Bühne und im Raum zu erzeugen.

Application deadline for Autonomous Teaching ends next Sunday // 02.03. 📖
Watch out! The deadline for applications for Autonomous Teaching is Sunday, 3 February. If you would like to participate with your content in the AT in the summer semester, please submit your teaching concept quickly using the form at this link. There you’ll also find the call for applications and much more information. Autonomous teaching offers a framework in which interest-led (self-)education can take place – without any grading pressure or anything else. It is also a good place to deal with marginalised topics, i.e. those that have no place in regular teaching or are neglected.

Voluntary work against the right: Become a facilitator for our youth education programme against discrimination 🎈[mostly in German]
Teamers wanted! With project days at schools and youth centres, we, the labour union student initative, want to get young people interested in tackling right-wing extremism, racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination, and encourage them to stand up against discriminating speech and actions. There are still a few places available for the next seminar preparing participants to lead these project days. For more information and to register, click here. Bachelor Exhibition No. 5 – Structures // 01.-02.03. 🧊
The exhibition explores the tension between natural and social structures in transition. While Carla Peters focuses on the transformation process of ice and translates this into her watercolors, Lisa Frank deals with social orders, which she makes visible and challenges by layering, cutting up and reshaping cardboard and packaging materials. Both positions are united by the question of rupture: when is a structure preserved, when does it dissolve – and what emerges from it?

The last building weekend was so nice and productive that we immediately felt like continuing. On the construction day, we want to furnish the office and plenary rooms, set up the kitchen and shelves, improve the lighting, do something in the garden, prepare rental bikes, paint signs and much more. Theater: Deus Rising – The unstoppable rise of humanity // 01.03. 💥[in German]
Where are we and where is humanity’s journey heading? This play between philosophy and satire, between humor and melancholy takes us to the edge of the universe. Technological and scientific progress prompt two emissaries of the human species to apply for admission to the Council of the Gods. For humans claim that they have evolved and are now also divine. The divine members of the council are less than enthusiastic about this idea, and a process begins in which time is thrown out of joint. An aesthetic and sensual journey through light and shadow, space and time, puppetry and animation, which takes a critical but also magical look at technological progress and the accompanying “demystification of the world”.

Museum Lüneburg: Historical craftsmanship techniques in furniture making // 02.03. 🪚 [in German ]
The Museum Lüneburg invites you to a special guided tour on Sunday. Restorer and cabinetmaker Andreas Bartels will take visitors on a fascinating journey to magnificent historical pieces of furniture in the Museum Lüneburg. The approximately one-hour tour focuses on the historical production techniques of the furniture and wooden objects on display. Meeting point is at 3 pm in the foyer of the museum. Participation is included in museum admission.

JazzIG double concert: Lajos Meinberg Trio & Johann Greve Quartet // 08.03. 🎷
Lajos Meinberg is a multiple winner of the Youth Jazz Prize in the combo and solo categories. He also won 2nd prize in the 2018 Carl Bechstein Competition in the jazz piano category. In addition, he received the Ingolf Burkhardt Award 2022 and in August 2023 Lajos was part of the Elbphilharmonie Jazz Academy. The Johann Greve Quartet was founded in early 2023. The band has since grown into a strong unit. Johann Greve’s compositions are equally influenced and shaped by the modern Berlin music scene as well as jazz greats such as Coltrane etc. The pieces primarily serve as a foundation for improvisation – with the aim of always creating a strong energy on stage and in the room.
